Tepe Designs / Shan Hassan

Tepe Designs is an American knife manufactory led by Shan Hassan, based in the San Jose/Silicon Valley area, California. Hassan started his career as a backpack designer before fully committing to knife design in 2018. He received his first pocketknife from his grandfather at a young age.

The collaboration with TwoSun began in 2018 with the TS128 Dynamo, followed by a series of premium knives with distinctive design features. Hassan also runs his own brand, selling models like the historically inspired Kilij (based on a Turkish sword) and the Hornet. He ran a successful Kickstarter for the Kilij in 2019, raising $22,350. He also collaborates with Shieldon Knives.

A special model for TwoSun is the TS179 Perfecto, which features an integrated hole in the blade and functions as a cigar cutter.
